On the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child, Meher mobilized people and raised awareness on "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter), which is a campaign of the Government of India that aims to generate awareness and improve the efficiency of welfare services intended for girls in India. Furthermore, Meher facilitated school enrolment of 10 children from poor families for the 2021 academic year. Last year Meher made her contribution to the community by teaching the right technique of handwashing. She also bought and distributed masks to people who needed them. Meher wishes to stay connected with EGG and wants to utilize street theatre to work on promoting girls' education.


Meher belongs to a poor family. Meher's father is a labourer and is unable to raise 5 children on his own. That is why Meher lives with her maternal grand-parents who are old. Meher is pursuing her Bachelor of Arts program and is currently a 3rd year student. She is studying Economics, History and Political Science.


When Meher was in class 9th, she came to know about EGG. When the Girls' Parliament was constituted in school, Meher was appointed the Education Minister. She carried out her responsibilities as the Education Minister very effectively. Meher is a great athelete and she has played 'Kho Kho' at the state level. Meher's team got the second position at block level for 'Kho Kho' and Discus Throw. L.I.C. company bestowed Meher with 'Student of the Year' award in 12th class. And the school principal gave her a title for being the best sportsperson. Meher wishes to become an Executive Officer and wishes to join the administrative services. Meher shared that whatever extra contribution she is able to make to society is due to the inspiration that comes from EGG.
